Since her early childhood, and through her friendship with Kashiv, an adorable Irish and Pakistani boy, Joanna has been fascinated by India. She has traveled there almost every winter season since the nineties, at the tender age of 17. She immerses herself in its culture, devours the landscapes of this fascinating sub-continent. India has been shaking it up from a young age, transforming it and deeply loving everything that touches it. The food she learns to cook over the visits, the fabrics she brings back by the kilograms in metal boxes to sew her own clothes when she lacks the means to buy those she dreams of. Her mystical depth and spirituality which she discovers by spending time with the Sadhus of Rishikesh or the Swami of the Ashrams with whom she becomes friends. India fills her with joy and teaches her so much about life. A karmic link is created over time and long stays spent there, as time goes by, philosophy attracts him more and more.

However, it was not immediately that she set foot on a yoga mat, but in her early twenties after several trips to the Sub-Continent. And as for many, the ritual of the practice becomes daily as soon as you discover it. Joanna dedicates her life to the study of Yoga and its practice. After having studied in Geneva and with Usha Devi in Rishikesh, Iyengar and Hatha during her twenties, at the age of 30, a little by chance she discovered Ashtanga. Since 2011 Joanna has dedicated her mornings to exploring this method and regularly visits the Sharath Jois school in Mysore. Besides this and over the years she has had the great pleasure of following teacher training and studying with Richard Freeman, Prem & Radha, Louise Ellis, David Garrigues, Sharmila Desai, Sharon & David Life to name a few. ...

Joanna has had the joy of being accredited with over 1000 hours by Yoga Alliance, is certified in the Jivamukti method and recently received the blessing of Sharath Jois "Certified Level II Ashtanga Teacher".
